Installing Sales Intelligence in Oracle CRM

  1. To start using Sales Intelligence, follow these simple steps to customize Oracle CRM On Demand. 

Note: If your organization restricts network access by third party applications, please ask your IT administrator to add the following IP address ranges to allow updates from Demandbase:

  • 52.4.63.192 to 52.4.63.223
  • 64.56.203.0 to 64.56.203.255

Admin Note : Oracle Configuration Checklist

1) Company Profile:
a. (Company Security Settings) must be configured with Authentication Type = "User ID/PWD or Single Sign-On"

b. (Company Security Settings) must be configured with Company Idle Timeout (minutes) to either no value or a minimum of 3 minutes.


2) Each user must be configured with Authentication Type = "User ID/PWD or Single Sign-On"

3) Each user's associated Role (Privileges) must be configured to have Integration: Web Services checked / enabled.

 

Installing Sales Intelligence as a Web Applet in Oracle CRM On Demand

Permission Required: You MUST be an Administrator

  • Click the Admin link
  • Click the Application Customization link

ACCOUNT - Adding Sales Intelligence to the Account Page Layout

From the ‘Application Customization’ page, add the Sales Intelligence Applet to your Account page layout.

    1. Click Account
    2. Click Account Web Applet
    3. Click New
    4. Enter name of InsideView
    5. Select location of Detail Page
    6. Select type of HTML
    7. In the Web Applet HTML text area, copy & paste the following code below

 

    1. Enter description of InsideView Account Connector
    2. Click Save
    3. Now click Back to Account Application Customization
    4. Click Account Page Layout
    5. Click Edit for the appropriate page layout(s)
    6. Click Step 4 – Related Information
    7. Select InsideView and click the right arrow button ‘>’ to add it to the Displayed Information list
    8. Click Finish
    9. Now navigate to any account record to verify that the InsideView widget loads properly  

LEAD - Adding InsideView to the Lead Page Layout

Return to the ‘Application Customization’ page and add the Sales Intelligence Applet to your Lead page layout.

    1. Return to Application Customization screen
    2. Click Lead
    3. Click LeadWeb Applet
    4. Click New
    5. Enter name of InsideView
    6. Select location of Detail Page
    7. Select type of HTML
    8. In Web Applet HTML text area, copy & paste the following code

 

    1. Enter description of InsideView Lead Connector
    2. Click Save
    3. Click Back to Lead Application Customization
    4. Click on Lead Page Layout
    5. Click Edit for the appropriate page layout(s)
    6. Click on Step 4 – Related Information
    7. Select InsideView and click the right arrow button ‘>’ to add it to the Displayed Information list
    8. Click Finish
    9. Now navigate to any lead record to verify that the InsideView widget is loading

OPPORTUNITY - Adding Sales Intelligence to the Opportunity Page Layout

Return to the ‘Application Customization’ page and add the Sales Intelligence Applet to your Opportunity page layout.

    1. Return to Application Customization screen
    2. Click on Opportunity
    3. Click on Opportunity Web Applet
    4. Click New
    5. Enter name of InsideView
    6. Select location of Detail Page
    7. Select type of HTML
    8. In Web Applet HTML text area, copy & paste the following code

 

    1. Enter description of InsideView Opportunity Connector
    2. Click Save
    3. Click Back to Opportunity Application Customization
    4. Click on Opportunity Page Layout
    5. Click Edit for the appropriate page layout(s)
    6. Click on Step 4 – Related Information
    7. Select InsideView and click the right arrow button ‘>’ to add it to the Displayed Information list
    8. Click Finish
    9. Navigate to any opportunity detail page to verify widget functionality  

CONTACT - Adding Sales Intelligence to the Contact Page Layout

Return to the 'Application Customization' page and add the Sales Intelligence Applet to your Contact page layout.

    1. Return to Application Customization screen
    2. Click on Contact
    3. Click on Contact Web Applet
    4. Click New
    5. Enter name of InsideView
    6. Select location of Detail Page
    7. Select type of HTML
    8. In Web Applet HTML text area, copy & paste the following code

 

    1.  Enter description of InsideView Contact Connector
    2. Click Save
    3. Click Back to Contact Application Customization
    4. Click on Contact Page Layout
    5. Click Edit for the appropriate page layout(s)
    6. Click on Step 4 – Related Information
    7. Select InsideView and click the right arrow button '>' to add it to the Displayed Information list
    8. Click Finish
    9. Now navigate to any Contact record to verify that the InsideView widget is loading
