How to Create a New List

Company lists allows you to keep track of a personalized list of companies and people to contact them for relevant business opportunities. 

Create and save a list to easily access the companies and people you're prospecting.  

Step Description Details
 1 Start with a New List In the Target Home page, click on Build a ListCreate a New List of Companies. 



2 Add companies

Enter and select a company name. Repeat the same steps to select company names that you want to add.


Copy and paste company names that you wish to add to the list. Each company must be in a separate line. 


  • Microsoft
  • Apple
  • Demandbase
  • Oracle
  • Yahoo


Upload a list of companies in a .xlsx, .xls or .csv file with basic company information in it. You can add up to 10,000 companies in a list.

We recommend you include the following fields: 

  • InsideView ID
  • Company Name
  • Website
  • Street
  • City
  • State
  • Country
  • Zip

Important: You must include one of the mandatory fields, InsideView ID, Company Name, or Website URL in the file.


3  Go to Review

Click Next


4 Review and Choose Correct Matches Once the matching process is complete, you see the number of accounts that matched or didn't match. Click Review to view the details. 

If there is an unmatched account, you can take the following actions: 

  • Delete: Delete the account from the list. 
  • Find the Correct Company: Search and select the correct account. 

Click Next > Finish

5 Save the List

Once all companies are matched, enter a name for the list. Click Save.

6 (Optional) Add Filters

Once the list is saved, you can apply additional filters to the list. Choose the desired filters and click Save
