Managing Intent Data

Intent data is information about web users’ behavior and content consumption that suggests they’re in the market to buy particular products and services.

This article provides instructions for a Sales Intelligence administrator to select intent topics that are relevant to their business. 

Step Description Details
1 Go to Admin Settings

On the top right, click the drop down next to the user icon and click Admin


2 Add Intent Topics

Go to Account Settings > Intent Settings to add Intent topics that are relevant to your business. The best topics will be related to search terms that your ideal customers will use to find your products/services.

Click the plus (+) sign to select the desired intent topics and click Save.

Tip: Use filters on the left or the search box to quickly find relevant Intent topics. For example, select the Accounting category to quickly filter out all topics except those in Accounting, such as Accounting Automation, Account Receivable, or Account Payable.

Important: Intent topics are visible only when you purchase the Sales Intelligence Intent add-on. Contact your Demandbase customer success manager to upgrade your Intent plan to add more topics.


3 Edit Intent Topics

You must contact Support to modify your intent topic settings. Click the Demandbase Support link to modify your chosen intent topics.
