Reviewing Contact Matches in Salesforce CRM

InsideView Refresh uses InsideView's proprietary database to find contact matches associated within account records in your Salesforce CRM.

Note: InsideView Refresh for Contacts is currently supported only in Salesforce CRM integration.

Follow the detailed instructions on how to review, change, and find contact matches for your Salesforce CRM:

Review Contact Matches

Step Description Details
1 Open the Review Contact Matches page

Log in to InsideView Refresh instance and click the Contact Match donut chart region to open the Review Contact Matches page.

2 Select a match type In the Review Contact Matches page, to filter by match type, click the Match Status drop-down menu and select any one item from the following options:
    • View All - Allows you to view all types of contact matches.
    • Matched - Lets you view contact for which a contact match is found.
    • Suggested Match - Lets you view suggested contact matches within contact that have multiple matches.
    • Unmatched - Shows a list of contacts that have no matches in the InsideView database.
    • In progress - Shows the contacts for which matching is still in progress.
    • Failed - Shows a list of contact that failed while contact matching.
    • Restricted - shows a list of contacts that are restricted because the credit is exceeded. In this case, you need to purchase sufficient credits to manage new contact matches.

4 Push matches When you click Accept or Reject, a pop-up dialog appears.

  • Click Push Matches Now to update contact records in your Salesforce CRM immediately.
  • Click Push Matches Later to run contact updates at the scheduled date and time that you had defined while creating the filter.

Note: You will receive an email when InsideView Refresh has some contact updates to review in your production instance only.

Select a Suggested Match in Salesforce CRM

Step Description Details
1 Filter by match type In the Review Contact Matches page, select Suggested Match from the Match Status drop down menu.

2 Select a match A list of contacts from InsideView's database will appear. Select a contact from the suggested results to match to the appropriate record in your Salesforce CRM. Click the Select link and then click Save.

Change a Match in Salesforce CRM

Step Description Details
1 Search Match In the Review Contact Matches page, enter the contact that you want change. For example, type John then you will see type ahead suggestions with contacts that start with John in their name.

2 Search for an Account In the Search Results page, select the contact record for which you want to change the match. Click the Edit icon as illustrated below:

3 Choose a match In Choose a Correct Contact page, select the contact that matches or search for the correct contact by entering the name as illustrated.

A list of contacts from InsideView's database will appear. Select a contact from the suggested results to match to the appropriate contact record in your Salesforce CRM. Click Save.

Find a Match in Salesforce CRM

Step Description Details
1 Filter by match type In the Review Contact Matches page, select Unmatched from the Match Status drop down menu. Select the unmatched record and click the Edit icon.

2 Choose a match In the Choose Correct Contact page a list of contacts from InsideView's database will appear. Select a contact to pair to the unmatched contact record. Click the Select link and then click Save.

Unmatch a Company in Salesforce CRM

Step Description Details
1 Filter by match type In the Review Contact Matches page, select Suggested Match or Matched from the drop down menu.

2 Select or change a match

Select the record you want to unmatch. In the Choose a Contact Company page, select the currently matched record. Click on the green tick and click Unmatch to remove the match.

When you click on the Unmatch link, you will not receive updates for that particular contact record in your CRM until you find an appropriate match.
