Configuring the InsideView Search Component in Salesforce Home Page

Once you have added the InsideView app to each object in Salesforce, do the following to complete your installation. This article provides steps for:

Configuring the InsideView Search Component in Salesforce Lightning Edition

Step	Description	Details
1	Go to the Home Page	Navigate to the Homepage where you would like to add the InsideView Search and InsideView Opportunity Alerts component.
2	Edit the Home Page	Go to Setup on the top right-hand corner and click Edit Page.
3	Add the Search InsideView Component	In the resultant screen, scroll down on the left pane to click Visualforce as illustrated: Drag and drop the Visualforce component to the desired location where you would like to configure the InsideView Search component. In this screen, enter the values for fields highlighted in red to complete the configuration process: Specify InsideView Search in the Label field. Select the InsideView Search Page in the Visualforce Page Name field. Set the height to 135 in the Height field.
4	Add Opportunity Alerts	(Optional) Drag and drop a Visualforce component to the desired location where you would like to configure the InsideView Opportunities Alert Page component. In this screen, enter the values for fields highlighted in red to complete the configuration process: Specify InsideView Opportunity Alert in the Label field Select InsideView Opportunity Alerts Page in the Visualforce Page Name field. Set the height to 615 in the Height field.
5	Save	Click Save.
6	View InsideView Search on the Home page	The InsideView Search and InsideView Opportunity Alerts component are added to the home page as illustrated:

1	Go to Home Page Layout	In the navigation menu, under Build > Customize click Home and select Home Page Layouts.
2	Go to Edit	On the Home Page Layout, click Edit.
3	Edit Home Page	On this screen, click Edit.
4	Add Search InsideView	On the Edit Home Layout section, select Search InsideView. Click Next. Selecting Opportunity Alerts is optional. Click Save. The InsideView Search component is added to the Home Page sidebar as shown below:
5	Remove Search InsideView	If there are multiple layouts present, select the layout that contains the search box. If there is a single layout, then click Edit: Deselect the Search InsideView checkbox from the Select Narrow Components to Show section.
6	Save	Click Next and then Save.
