Exporting a People and Company List to Salesforce CRM

In Target, you can only export/sync People to Salesforce CRM. 


Target does not allow you to sync companies. In order for you to sync your leads, and Demandbase account administrator must first log in with your Salesforce account credentials in the Target authentication window. For more information, read the article Setting Up Target for Salesforce CRM on our Knowledge Base.

Step Description Details
1 Launch Target Launch Target by clicking the Build a List tab in Sales Intelligence. 
2 Go to settings  When you click Export for the first time the following message appears:           


Click Configure CRM to launch Authentication window.

Note: If you are using Salesforce Sandbox environment, then you will see an additional Export to Salesforce Sandbox button once the CSM enables your Target for sandbox account. Click this button when you want to sync data to your Sandbox instance.

3 Map InsideviewId Field On the Settings page, click the Field Mapping tab.

Note:If Company Name, Last Name, Email and InsideviewId fields are not mapped you must create these custom field with the string datatype in your Salesforce application and map them in Target. Otherwise, you cannot perform a Sync to Salesforce.

4 Sync People list into Salesforce Once the Salesforce account credential and field mapping is complete, click Export to Salesforce.   export_to_sfdc_small.png

Note: If a record is exported from Target (irrespective of Salesforce sync or File Export), Demandbase will not deduct credits for a period of 1 year from the date it was first exported or synced to Salesforce CRM.

You will prompted to choose either Direct Phone (if available), CorporatePhone Only or Direct Phone Only to export executives with desired phone numbers to Salesforce CRM as illustrated:export_to_sfdc1_small.png

Select an export option and click Sync.

5 Receive an email notification Once the People list is exported to Salesforce CRM, you will receive an email notification confirmation with number of people that were moved to your Salesforce CRM.
