Defining Lead Source for Leads in Microsoft Dynamics CRM

This article explains how to define the Lead source field for Leads as part of InsideView Insights installation. 

Note: This article is an extension to the article Installing InsideView Insights via AppSource Marketplace wherein you will come across a procedure to define the Lead source field. 

Step Description Details
 1 Log in Log in to your Mircosoft Dynamics CRM with the admin user credentials. 
 2 Go to Customize Go to Settings Customization Customize the System Entities Lead Fields  Select the LeadSourceCode field as illustrated:

 3 Edit LeadSource field In the resultant screen, select the LeadSourcecode field and click Edit. Review the LeadSourceCode field settings and map it to InsideView as illustrated: lead_source2_small.png
  • Enable Auditing.
  • Select the Field Requirement as Business Recommended/Business Required.
  • Enter Label as InsideView.
  • Click Save and Close.
 4 Publish Customizations  Click Publish All Customizations as illustrated:
